Music

The role of the music ministry is to lead congregational singing and support and enhance the liturgy with music for meditation. For more information, consult the Organizational Contacts List.

ADULT CHOIR

Adults of all ages who have the desire to pray through song are welcome to join. Some singing experience is helpful. We sing in four part harmony at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday and for special liturgies. Rehearsal is every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the choir room.

CONTEMPORARY CHOIR

The contemporary choir praises God with voice and instruments at the 12:00 noon Mass, twice a month. They perform praise and worship music, which tends towards the contemporary. Vocalists and musicians are welcome. Rehearsal is every Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the choir room.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR (ANGEL CHOIR)

Our parish Angel Choir will sing for Mass on Easter Sunday at 9:00 am and also for First Holy Communion on April 30. If your child is interested they are welcome to join us. Rehearsals will be on Saturday mornings April 2, 9 and 16 from 10:00-11:00 am. Parents, please encourage your children to get involved in the music ministry by singing with us for these special liturgies. The Christmas choir this past year was a huge success! CANTORS

The role of the cantor is to proclaim the Responsorial Psalm and lead the congregational singing.

Various instruments are used at special occasions during the Liturgical Year.
